San Juan Island Lavender Festival
July 19 & 20, 2008

We are very pleased to host the 7th Annual San Juan Island Lavender Festival at
Pelindaba Lavender Farm during the 3rd weekend in July.
We invite you to see, smell, hear, touch and taste the beauty of lavender.

Demonstrations will range from the cultivation, flower harvesting and essential oil distillation of lavender to its unique role in the culinary arts.  Craft workshops will be held on wand and wreath making, plus crafts and special activities for children.  There will also be docent tours of Pelindaba’s organic fields, the Commercial Kitchen & Bakery from which Pelindaba’s many delicacies emerge, and the Production Center where over 300 products are handcrafted from Pelindaba’s own organic flowers and oil.

Enjoy local island musicians while picnicking in the Fields with lunch prepared by Pelindaba chefs and gathering your own lavender bouquets in the Cutting Field. The Gatehouse store and Nursery will be stocked with handcrafted lavender products and plants.

 


PELINDABA FRIDAY HARBOR
Friday Harbor Center on First Street in Friday Harbor.

We are deeply gratified that the community has so warmly welcomed Pelindaba Friday Harbor as THE venue to meet, write, work (we have WiFi of course),
read a current magazine, etc - inside or on the patio according to the weather.

While in our elegant yet relaxed setting, visitors can enjoy one or more of our wide range
of hot and cold lavender flavored beverages, including teas, chai, hot chocolate, Italian Sodas, lemonade and yes, even coffee, and accompany these with a selection from our expanding portfolio of baked goods all produced on-island by our culinary elves in our certified Kitchen and Bakery out at the farm).

EVENINGS AT PELINDABA FRIDAY HARBOR

The vibrant "Evenings at Pelindaba Friday Harbor" Series is now in its fourth year of fulfilling our commitment to provide a haven for those who love the arts and related activities, featuring book readings (and signings), book clubs, talks, theatrical performances, music presentations, film discussion evening and special Forums (Fora for the purists) on a variety of topics - all contributing to our quality of island living.  


If you have ideas or requests for an event, we welcome those suggestions as warmly as we do all suggestions in our various areas of activity. The space is also available for rent for private functions.

 SCRABBLE AND CHESS AT PELINDABA FRIDAY HARBOR
We have a set each of Scrabble and Chess for the enjoyment of our patrons.
