18th Annual SAN JUAN ISLAND LAVENDER FESTIVAL

Tours and exhibits survey the entire process - from field to finished product. The fields are open for strolling, relaxing and breathtaking photo ops.

The Cutting Field is open for visitors to harvest their own bouquets of certified organic lavender from the many varieties in bloom.
Demonstrations cover topics from lavender cultivation and essential oil distillation to cooking with lavender and lavender's many everyday uses.

The Craft Tent is open all day long in the fields for adults and children to make beautiful wands, crowns, aromatherapy animals, wreaths, and more. Be sure to enter the coloring contest, lavender scavenger hunt and get your face painted with lavender!
Lavender Herbal Wreath Workshop
Taught by one of our own talented artisans, you'll create your own 16" large herbal wreath with organic lavender and other island-grown herbs and learn how to tie our beautiful Pelindaba Lavender bows. Lavender refreshments will be served during the workshop.

Our Lavender Lemonade and Lavender Iced Tea and Coffee are always big hits - not to mention our Lavender Cookies! Island-style picnic lunches by Paella San Juan
and Tina's Tacos
and local libations from our San Juan Islands wineries and distilleries will be available all day long in the fields. Be sure to top off your picnic with our ever-popular Lavender Ice Cream (gluten-free & dairy-free flavors available)!
We'll be joined by many local artists who will have their work on display and for sale in the fields. Local musicians - Erandolin Strings Celtic Band
, Katura Marimba
and Kubatana Marimba
will be serenading us throughout the day and Lavendera Massage
will be providing relaxing treatments amongst the flowers.
Be sure to bring your sunscreen, camera and dancing shoes!
Parking and Admission are FREE.
Pets are welcome on leash and we kindly ask owners to clean up after them.
The festive weekend will culminate in a Farm to Table Dinner in the blooming fields at sunset. Coho Restaurant's extraordinary culinary team will feature the flavors of the summer season, drawing ingredients from local San Juan Island farms with a touch of culinary lavender from the surrounding fields. If you are having trouble finding accommodations on San Juan Island you can stay in Anacortes and walk on the ferry. There are several taxi and shuttle options located at the ferry landing in Friday Harbor for transportation out to the festival.
